MediaTek Officially Unveils the Dimensity 9000+ Processor

MediaTek's latest processor, the Dimensity 9000+, has been unveiled by the company.

It features many upgrades over the Dimensity 9000.

The CPU was boosted by 5% and graphics were boosted 10%.

There are also improvements in image signal processing, 5G modem, and image signal processing.

"Based on the success of our flagship 5G chipset Dimension 9000+ ensures that device makers will always be able to access the most advanced high performance features mobile technology," stated MediaTek's Deputy General manager, Wireless Business Unit.

Dimension 9000+ receives a speed boost for the Cortex-X2 high-performance core, from 3.05GHz up to 3.2GHz.

It includes the same 1+3 +4 setup with three Cortex A710 cores and four high efficiency Cortex A510 cores. The GPU is Mali G710 MC10.

It also contains the MediaTek Imagiq790 image capture engine that can simultaneously capture 18-bit HDR video from up to three cameras.

It can also capture still images at resolutions up to 320 Mega Pixels and can process 9 gigapixels per minute.

You can also use 4K HDR video with AI Noise Reduction.

By using 3CC carrier aggregate, the 5G modem can get a jump of up to 7 Gbps in downlink speed.

This support is in addition to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 from MediaTek to support WDHD+ screen refresh rates of 144Hz and 180Hz at FHD resolution, Wi-Fi display support up 4K60 for HDR videos, and support at 144Hz and 180Hz at FHD resolution.

MediaTek stated that the Dimensity 9000+ processor will be available in smartphones by the end of the third quarter.
