Instagram has launched a new feature that allows users to pin up to three items to the top of their personal profiles, including photographs or short films (Reels). The new feature, according to the firm, would provide authors more freedom to express themselves on their own profiles.
You may pin a post by going to a specific photo or video and selecting the option to pin to your profile from the three dots in the top right corner. The post will show at the top of your profile once you've done that.
In a video announcing the new feature, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri stated, “Your profile is your space, so we're looking at more ways to offer you control over that area.”
Users who wish to highlight their favorite posts that are buried down at the bottom of their picture grid will appreciate the opportunity to pin a single post to their profile. Content providers that post regularly but want to make a particular post stand out can utilize the function.
Users may now pin Stories to their profiles, but this new tool widens their posting options.
While you could previously highlight a post in a story and then pin it to your profile, this new tool simplifies and streamlines the process. Tik Tok and Instagram both include “pinned videos” that allow you to pin material to the top of your profile.
Today's announcement coincides with the debut of numerous new features for Meta's products on Facebook and Instagram. It's worth mentioning that the audio synchronization capability was added to Facebook Reels videos, and Instagram Reels now supports clips up to 90 seconds, up from 60 seconds. To make Reels clips more appealing, the business included a slew of new creative tools, audio tools, themes, and other features.
