Call of Duty will return to Steam five years later with the imminent release of Modern Warfare 2, the newest installment in the iconic genre. However, the PC version of MW2 will now cost $70.
When Activision announced fresh details on the forthcoming chapter in the long-running FPS game, along with a series of previews from various sites, the new pricing was noted.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is neither a mod nor a re-release of the original game. This remake is a follow-up to the 2019 game Modern Warfare, which was a reboot of the sub-franchise that began with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007.
Activision has confirmed what has been suspected for a few weeks now, along with a new commercial released today to delight gamers: Call of Duty will return to the front of the Valve PC Store.
The most recent Call of Duty game released on Steam was WW2 in 2017, and it has subsequently surpassed all prior Call of Duty games, including Warzone, which was only available on PC through Blizzard's Battle.Net client. This new game will also be available there, and you can pre-order it now at any retailer before it opens on October 28.
