The beta version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will release next month.
PlayStation gamers will receive the option to experience the game first, followed by Xbox and PC players.
Infinity Ward revealed the announcement during the CDL Champs (Call of Duty League Championship) (Call of Duty League Championship).
As with past betas, the game will be offered by console, and by whether the game has been pre-ordered.
The first beta will commence in early access September 16-17 for PlayStation 4 and 5 for customers who pre-order the game.
This will be followed by the introduction of the open beta for all PlayStation gamers, between 18 and 20 September.
The cross-play beta will appear for pre-ordered gamers on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC from September 22-23.
While the open beta for cross-platform multiplayer will launch on September 24th and expire on September 26th.
Infinity Ward has also been pushing a new multiplayer level, dubbed Grand Prix, which is situated on a racetrack.
The map will be accessible to play during the beta version.
If the game is not pre-ordered, the corporation will provide the option to get trial codes that allow early access to the game.
Although some tokens were handed out throughout the event, there will be additional possibilities to steal one from other broadcasters and YouTubers before the beta launch date.
We got our first glance of Modern Warfare II back in June, but Infinity Ward is poised to show more about the next game at its Call of Duty: Next event on September 15.
The final version of Modern Warfare II will eventually be published for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (through Battle.net and Steam) on October 28.
